CJA keeps members updated on important issues on legislation, the Judicial Council, Association events and educational opportunities. We send out The Voice, which is an electronic newsletter and The Bench, CJA’s quarterly journal which is printed twice a year and delivered electronic quarterly.
CJA’s conferences include a Fall convention, a conference for Retired Judicial Officers, a family-friendly Mid-Year Conference, Elections Workshops and periodic study tours in a variety of worldwide locations. New members receive CJA handbooks on judicial conduct and judicial retirement.

If you should hear from the Commission on Judicial Performance, CJA’s Judicial Discipline Advisory Panel offers confidential counsel and support. Find help for stress or personal problems through a free 24-hour confidential counseling service. CJA also maintains an informal network of experienced judges to answer questions on media relations, administrative problems and more.
Response to Unfair Criticism
Teams of judges around the state are prepared to help a judge or court deal with unfair criticism in the media. Assistance ranges from wise counsel to intervention by appropriate experts and authorities.
